Christine Waltermyer, Founder and Owner

Christine Waltermyer is the Founder and Owner of The Natural Kitchen Cooking School. She is the author of The Natural Vegan Kitchen. With over a decade of experience in the field of natural cooking, Christine is a masterful chef and teacher, specializing in macrobiotic and vegan cuisines. Christine has appeared on Ebru TV's Daily Connection show as a regularly featured chef. Her personal chef clients have included well-known celebrities. Christine has developed recipes for Dr. Joel Fuhrman's book, "Super Immunity," as well as Dr. Neal Barnard's book, "Power Foods for the Brain."

Christine has taught Food for Life cooking classes for the Cancer Project and co-taught a workshop with legendary natural-food leader, Michio Kushi at The Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts. Christine has been a featured instructor at the North American Vegetarian Society’s Vegetarian Summerfest in Johnstown, PA, the Chicago VegFest, The Great Pennsylvania Flavorfest, Bethlehem VegFest and the New Orleans Veggie Fest. Christine has been the subject of numerous newspaper and magazine articles, including Princeton’s U.S. 1 Magazine and The Asbury Park Press. Christine has written articles for VegNews Magazine and Lilipoh Magazine.

Christine is a graduate of Millersville University, the Kushi Institute and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Christine is a certified wellness coach through the Coach Training Alliance, and she specializes in prenatal nutrition and diets for children with special needs. Mary Flynn, Program Coordinator/Instructor

Mary, a valuable teacher and member of our culinary team, brings over 10 years experience in the field of culinary arts. She supports our students every step of the way with her commitment and passion to teaching students about organic whole foods and nutrition. “It brings me great joy and satisfaction to see the transformation a student makes, empowering them with the tools and skills needed to live a more balanced life that promotes health and well-being.”

Mary is a 2006 graduate of the Natural Kitchen Cooking School. She has trained for many years with Christine Waltermyer, and has had the pleasure of assisting many of our celebrity guest chefs throughout the years. She has also received her training from the Culinary Education Center of Monmouth County. Mary is a certified dietetic technician through the state of New Jersey and a certified ServeSafe Food Protection Manager. She holds a degree in Liberal Arts. Mary may be contacted
