Join Natural Kitchen Cooking School founder, Christine Waltermyer, to enjoy learning some favorite soups of the season! Soup is a great way to make ingredients digestible and it’s also an economical, family-friendly option.

WHEN: Tuesday, December 8th, 11 am – 12 pm EST

COST: $29 (includes all recipes and livestream class)

It’s a Miso Celebration!

Join us to discover this Japanese superfood and how miso can add unique flavor (and health benefits!) to soup, pizza and even vegan cheesecake!

You’ll never think of miso the same way after learning how creative you can be with it.

Ayurvedic Inspired Comfort Food

Journey to India to discover the magical flavors that will delight your palate! Our menu is the just the right balance of warming, sweet, savory, salty, pungent and sour. You’ll come away from this class able to prepare a balanced delicious meal that leaves you satisfied.

This type of balance is considered what is known as “tridoshic.” Chef Manisha will also share ideas how to change up the basic recipes to suit a body type based on the seasons in North America.

Meet Your Teachers

Christine Waltermyer

Christine created the Natural Kitchen Cooking School to help people live healthier, happier lives. A wellness chef and author, her private chef clients have included well known celebrities and pro athletes.

Christine has developed recipes for Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s book, “Super Immunity,” and Dr. Neal Barnard’s book, “Power Foods for the Brain.” Christine has taught cooking classes for the Cancer Project, the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health with Michio Kushi, the 92nd St. Y in New York City, natural food stores, and at popular festivals across America.

A graduate of Millersville University, the Kushi Institute, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the Coach Training Alliance, Christine has been featured on television, and she has written for the Huffington Post, VegNews magazine and Lillipoh magazine.

Rieko Sakuramoto

Rieko Sakuramoto is an internationally-acclaimed cooking instructor who has been featured on TV with her delicious recipes. She is also an in-demand Personal Chef with a celebrity clientele here in the US.

Rieko is a graduate of the Natural Gourmet’s Chef Training Program, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and she is also a certified Aromatherapist.

Rieko’s mission in life is to introduce wholesome, nutritious traditional Japanese foods to American people, as well as state-of-the-art, plant-based New York style cuisine to the people in Japan.

Rieko specializes in gluten-free desserts and has worked extensively with mothers interested in feeding their children healthy, kid-friendly food.

Manisha Patel

Manisha is a certified Vegan Chef, and has a Bachelors in chemistry, Masters biochemistry and food science with focus on Ayurveda.

Creating exciting flavors through simple ethnic foods and food preparations is her passion, as this pursuit brings about a much simpler and healthier lifestyle.

Growing up in the city of Mumbai, a melting pot of diverse Indian traditions and cultures, gave her exposure to many regional and international cuisines.

Manisha’s interest in food and cooking has enabled me to grow my interest in growing herbs and vegetables in her own garden. Cooking is an art, fascination and joy. She loves to see people come closer together by participating in cooking and eating.

One of her goals is to serve community by touching people’s lives through healthy food, prepared and shared with love.
